Despite road closures and the distance some had to travel, most ladies arrived with time to spare before their tee time.
While waiting to tee off the brollies were opened and some of the ladies huddled in the starter’s hut, to emerge only when they needed to tee off! Fortunately, the rain did not last the whole morning. Many of the matches were very close, in fact one was lost on the 18th, and three other matches were lost in the last three holes.
The highlight of the day was when Tricia Folland had a hole in one on the Second, much to her surprise. Unfortunately, the rain started again as the last few teams were coming in.
Once everyone had dried out, we had a delicious meal which included the fabulous desserts that Honiton are known for.
