SLCGA FOWLER BROOCHES - 4BBB cricket st thomas GOLF CLUB MONDAY 17 APRIL 2023
The Fowler Brooches 4BBB kicked off the start of the 2023 County season. We were welcomed with thick cloud and drizzle, must be summer!
Cricket st Thomas was the venue and I must say a very big “thank you” to all the Ladies who did a fantastic job of running the registration desk, starter duties, score input, providing flowers and just being on hand to assist throughout the day. The County cannot run these events without the support of the host club..thank you. 30 pairs braved the drizzle and the hills, but thankfully the conditions improved. There were a number of prizes available, the Fowler Brooches themselves awarded to the highest scoring pair, the Bath Shield awarded to the top 2 combined scores from players from the same club and of course each player is automatically entered into a 2’s comp, for a sleeve of balls. We also launched the SLCGA photo competition, hopefully there are some pictures on our Facebook page (Somerset Ladies Golf) to admire! Thank you to everyone who played, by the look of the scores there was some good golf out there. Our next team event is the Bowmaker at Worlebury on 15th June, I look forward to your entries.
