Friendly Match v Gloucestershire on 8 May 2025 at Worlebury Golf Club
The match started with a two minute silence as part of the national silence to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day). The silence was observed throughout the UK to remember and thank those who fought in World War Two.
The day itself was quite cold to start with and some Somerset Ladies were glad of the addition of new sweatshirts and zipped jackets available courtesy of the Senior Vice Captain, Alison Lee, however, it did warm up in the afternoon. The match was won by Somerset this year 5/2.
After the match everyone sat down to a an excellent meal and we thank everyone at Worlebury GC who made the day so enjoyable for golfers and spectators alike.
