Somerset County Ladies team has arrived at Denham GC!
Today is practice day for all 6 counties competing in the English Women’s County Finals - Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, Surrey, Yorkshire and Somerset. Our team of 12 are Abby Gray (Wells), Amanda Mayne (Saltford), Amelia Matthews (Orchardleigh), Davina Xanh (Mendip Spring), Ellen Reakes (The Mendip), Frankie Dezis (Farrington Park), Hannah Woodley (Enmore Park), Harriet Lockley (Burnham & Berrow), Jade Cope ( Weston-super-Mare), Jess Haines (Burnham & Berrow), Lizzie Stephens (Mendip Spring) and Patience Rhodes (Burnham & Berrow). Our first match on Friday 17th September is against Lincolnshire in the morning, then Hertfordshire in the afternoon. Each match comprises 5 games - 2 x Foursomes and 3 x Singles - players selected by Somerset Captain, Gill Brown (Burnham & Berrow) assisted by Vice Captain Sue Stilwell (Weston-super- Mare). SUNDAY 29 AUGUST 2021 - FIRST PRACTICE ROUND

Today was the first practice round at Denham Golf Club (Buckinghamshire) ahead of the English Women’s County Finals on 17-19 September. Most of the team were able to get their first look at where the national title will be decided. County Captain Gill Brown, Vice Captain Sue Stilwell, Past Captain Alysia Rees and Coach Terry Williams were also at the practice round.
