FLORIDA SCRAMBLE (Teams of three)
BURNHAM & BERROW GC  CHANNEL COURSE

* Florida Scramble - ​in a Florida Scramble, the twist is that the player whose shot is selected doesn't get to play the next shot.  So in a Florida Scramble with teams of three, all three players tee off, the best shot is selected, then only two players hit their second shots and so on.
Format:  Bowmaker  - Played in 3s

Competition:  Open to all current members of the Senior 60+ Ladies

Entry Fee:  £90 per team

Handicap Allowance: Maximum  WHS Index 40.4

Buggies may be used for ladies over age 80.  Single use buggies only must be booked at venue’s Pro shop.

Eligibility:  All entrants must be a member of an affiliated golf club and hold a WHS Handicap index on the day of the competition .

POLICY ON THE USE OF GOLF BUGGIES 
Updated September 2024 to allow players over age 80 to use a buggy without a medical certificate

 auTUMN MEETING - MENDIP SPRING GC     THURSDAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2024

​This was well supported by 16 teams (with another who had to pull out last minute) and played as a Florida Scramble in a 3 ball Bowmaker on 12th September.  The standard Scramble format was slightly altered for this competition, to increase fun value and decrease time taken and proved to be a popular and enjoyable day - apart from the hail!
